A Day of Service

We’re overwhelmed by the love and generosity of our community, as over 500 people came and served at our 5th Sent Sunday: A Day of Service event. Over 30 projects at 10 different sites were completed, the impact of which is truly immeasurable, but includes:

  • 6 local schools received painting, construction, cleaning, decorating and landscaping work

  • 50,000 meals were packed and donated through Meals of Hope to Second Harvest Food Bank and Nolensville Food Pantry

  • 12 local schools received materials and supplies to support teachers and students

  • 1,000 teacher appreciation gifts were created to say thank you and to remind area teachers that they are loved

  • 150+ bags were assembled for students of Norman Binkley Elementary, Shayne Elementary, and Oliver Middle so they can have access to food over upcoming weekends

  • 100 blessing bags were made for distribution to members of the local homeless population

  • 40 birthday boxes were assembled for distribution through food pantries so that everyone can celebrate a birthday with a cake and party

Here’s a quick look at the day and some of the projects we completed together!

Our next Sent Sunday event will be December 22nd at Sunset Middle School!
